Jason Forcier, deputy general manager of A123's automotive solutions team, revealed that the company will supply a battery pack for a GM vehicle in large quantities, but he did not disclose information about the vehicle. In addition, A123 has partnerships with Fisker, Navistar and BMW.

A123 will produce batteries for General Motors in Livonia. The process of producing electric or hybrid battery packs is not only very complicated but also very expensive, and is usually controlled by sensors and computers for charging and discharging under liquid cooling conditions.

Founded in 2001, A123 specializes in the manufacture of lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion batteries manufactured in cooperation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have a high energy density and long service life.
