According to the latest statistics from the Bureau of Statistics, in June 2018, the total retail sales of consumer goods nationwide was 3,844.2 billion yuan, a nominal increase of 9.0% year-on-year (the actual increase of 7.0% after deducting the price factor, the following nominal growth except for special instructions). From January to June, the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 180.18 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%. Among them, the retail sales of consumer goods above designated size was 699.38 billion yuan, an increase of 7.5%.

In terms of automobile retail sales, the retail sales of automobiles in June 2018 reached 308.9 billion yuan, a decrease of 7% compared with the same period last year. From January to June 2018, the national automobile retail sales reached 1.867 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.7%.

In terms of growth rate, the national automobile retail sales in the first six months of 2018 increased by 2.7% year-on-year, which was lower than the growth rate of total retail sales of social consumer goods by 6.7 percentage points.
