Bosch has confirmed that it will sell part of its brake system business in North America to Japan Shuguang Brake.

Bosch announced on September 24 that it had signed an agreement with Shuguang Brake on the sale of its part of its North American brake systems business (base brake systems business) in New York. Bosch will sell its brake system products to Shuguang Brake for brake angle modules, brake drums, brake discs, brake calipers, etc., Bosch's plants in Clarksville, Tennessee and Columbia, South Carolina, and North America. The other six offices involved in asset and management affairs are in the sale agreement.

Bosch said that this part of the business to be sold in 2009 can achieve sales of 580 million US dollars. Bosch's other relatively high-end auto parts businesses, including ABS systems, electronic brake systems, brake generation, and truck brake systems, are not included in the sale.

According to the statement of Shuguang Brake Industry Co., Ltd., the price of this acquisition is 10 million US dollars, and it is expected that this transaction will be completed before the end of this year.
