Gondan Shipyard seizes three dual fuel powered tugs

Gondan Shipyard signed a shipbuilding agreement with Norwegian shipowner Ostensjo Rederi to build three dual-fuel powered tugs, and the first of the three tugs is currently under construction. It is reported that the dual fuel-powered tugboat built by the Gondan Shipyard is the first ship to be launched in the European market.

The vessel will serve the Norwegian state-owned oil and gas company, located in Melk? The ya island LNG terminal carries out natural gas transportation.

Combined with local environmental characteristics, in order to withstand the cold, this dual-fuel powered tugboat can adapt to the transportation operation at minus 20 degrees Celsius, and the diesel engine's flexibility can ensure a high level of operational safety. The ship is expected to be delivered in 2017.
