Honda plans to increase its annual automobile production in China by 36% by 2012, which is expected to be announced in China as early as next week. After the increase in production, Honda Motor's annual production in China will reach 830,000.
Honda will expand the capacity of its joint venture, GAC Honda, and add a new production line at one of its plants, with an estimated investment of slightly more than 10 billion yen (US$110 million). The production capacity of Guangqi Honda is expected to double this year, reaching an annual output of 240,000 cars.
