At present, the exploration potential of China's remaining oil and gas resources is mainly distributed in complex areas with multi-source hydrocarbon generation and multi-period accumulation. The reconstruction of its accumulation process is the key to understanding the distribution of oil and gas and guiding the continuous discovery of oil and gas. However, domestic and international reconstruction techniques for a single set of source rock and a hydrocarbon accumulation process cannot meet this demand, which seriously restricts the strategic breakthrough of oil and gas exploration.

The “Key Equipment and Methods for Rebuilding Multistage Oil and Gas Accumulations and Accumulation Processes” project invented the world’s most advanced high-fidelity, large-information-quantity monomer-oil inclusion laser ablation on-line analytical instrument and method, which solved the existing technology for cracking or loss. The problems that lead to distorted and incomplete components that make it difficult to trace oil sources provide key technologies and effective ways to identify multi-phase oil and gas sources; invented methods for the purification, enrichment and separation of rare gases in oil and gas, and analysis methods for component isotope ratios. In addition, Liu Wenhui and other experts also studied the pore thermal pressure hydrocarbon generation and expulsion simulated experimental instruments and methods for source rock formations. This invention technology reveals that the largest marine oil field in China, Tahe Oilfield, originated from the Cambrian muddy source rocks in the early stage of oil and gas, originated from the Ordovician carbonate source rock in the later period, and solved the main source rocks in the Tarim Basin. The long-term controversy has provided an important basis for breakthroughs in exploration of oil and gas on the northern slope of the Tazhong Basin; it has clarified that the Upper Permian marine source rock is the major gas source for Puguang and other large gas fields, and is an exploration of the Tr The major breakthroughs in deep marine natural gas made important contributions; the volume of newly added oil and gas resources in Shengli, Zhongyuan, and Henan oilfields reached 2.33 billion tons, making a substantial contribution to the increase of proved reserves in the old oil regions and sustainable development.
