A few days ago, the reporter saw at the Huacheng Electromechanical Company in Huangqiao Industrial Park that the safety rescue cabin with 8 persons was approved to be installed. The rescue cabin is divided into three parts: transition cabin, survival cabin and equipment cabin. There are more than 10 square meters of internal space, such as no electric air conditioner, environmental monitoring table, anti-high pressure observation window and even toilet.

Xie Cuibin, general manager of Huacheng Electromechanical Co., said that the outer casing of the rescue capsule is made of special steel and can withstand an impact of 60 kg per square centimeter. Even if the outside temperature reaches 55 degrees Celsius, the cabin temperature can still be kept below 35 °C. The refuge cabin draws on the technology of the submarine in many ways. The refuge chamber can guarantee the life of the miner even if it is placed under 250 meters of water. The escape door of the rescue capsule is designed like a submarine. Once the door is closed, the door body is completely closed to the cabin, completely separating the cabin from the outside world, forming a sealed space for toxic, harmful gases and mines. The water that permeates inside is isolated from the cabin.

According to reports, the coal mine rescue cabin was jointly developed by Huacheng Electromechanical Co., Ltd. and Wuhan Ship Design Research Institute. The technical standards for the pressure and heat preservation of the cabin have reached the “submarine level”. According to Chen Zhiwei, a researcher at the Wuhan Ship Design Institute, there is no problem in placing the rescue capsule at a depth of 250 meters. It is no problem to have people living inside. When the external temperature reaches 55 degrees or more, the human body can live normally for more than 12 hours. Food and water can also be provided inside to ensure that people live in it for 96 hours.

Xie Cuibin, general manager of Huacheng Electromechanical Co., told reporters that the coal mine rescue capsule is one of the six safety systems of the coal enterprises promoted by the state. By 2015, all domestic coal mine production enterprises must support a certain proportion of rescue capsules, so the products have a large market space. At present, the rescue capsule has passed various technical tests and the live-action test will be carried out in the near future. Xie Cuibin told reporters that they are currently applying for the security standard to the National Security Center and seeking to get the security certificate as soon as possible. In the next phase, samples of the 16-person cabin will be developed, and samples of the 24-person cabin will be completed before the Spring Festival.
