The Yangzi Petrochemical Refinery has an annual processing capacity of 8 million tons of crude oil and consumes more than 100 tons of steam per hour. The traditional method of steam condensate recovery is to use open-type recovery after cooling. During the process, a lot of steam is run off. To this end, the plant cooperates with relevant scientific research and development units and adopts domestic patented technologies to implement closed recovery of steam condensate. The series of condensate collectors they install can completely recycle the heater condensate produced in the crude oil processing process, the pipe condensing heating condensate, the winter heating condensate, and the summer cooling condensate. After laboratory analysis, the quality of the condensed water recovered is good, no corrosion, and water quality is not acidified. Demineralized water is needed in the production of oil refinery equipment. Closed condensed water not only contains the value of desalinated water, but also has a high calorific value. After recycling, it is sent to the boilers of the refinery's catalytic workshop and sulfur recovery plant, reducing demineralized water production. Cost, improve boiler feedwater quality, reduce fuel consumption, increase boiler water purity, reduce boiler heating surface fouling, and reduce pollution losses.

Yangzi Petrochemical Steam Condensed Water Closed Recovery Reducing Water Resources
At the end of 2008, the condensate recovery project of the Yangzi Petrochemical Company's refinery passed the acceptance of relevant experts of the Nanjing Water Conservancy Bureau. It is estimated that this project can recover 500,000 tons of steam condensate for one year, save more than 14 million tons of steam, and save 10.53 million yuan in comprehensive costs.
