In 2013, China and the EU conducted a comparison and evaluation study on safety standards for electric vehicles and power batteries under the framework of dialogue and cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and the European Union's Enterprise and Industry Directorate. At this meeting, the two sides invited experts to report the basic situation of the previous research, including the domestic and international standards for electric vehicles, power batteries (including monomers, modules and systems), and the comparative research results of the standards and regulations of China and the EU. At the vehicle level, China and the EU mainly studied and analyzed the comparison between the revised GB/T 18384 series standard and the second edition of ECE R100. At the power battery level, both sides have the domestic power battery unit/module/system standard and The revised draft is compared with the battery standard regulations of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the European Economic Commission (ECE), and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
