How to Correctly Repair Vortex Flowmeter

1) Vortex flowmeter instrumentation is not well suited for applications where strong vibrations are not suitable. However, in situations where the magnetic field changes frequently, the vortex flow sensor will detect a signal output that is higher than normal. Practice has proved that in the scene of no gas flow, when the vortex flow sensor is in a changing magnetic field, the vortex flowmeter sensor will induce an error signal to output when the magnetic field changes, and when the change is over, the instrument is in a stable state. When the magnetic field, the instrument will output a normal signal.

2) Due to the high temperature and high humidity of the coke oven gas, there will be moisture in the gas transmission process. The flow of gas drives the water to reciprocate and fluctuate, creating a pulsating flow. When the vortex flow sensor is in such a fluid state, the output data suddenly changes greatly, which cannot reflect the production status at all.

3) Because the coke oven gas has many impurities, it is easy to crystallize, and the impurities condense on the sensor head, causing measurement inaccuracy. As the temperature rises, the impurities volatilize, the sensitivity increases, and the signal increases; on the contrary, it decreases. As a result, data is unstable.

4) In the process of instrument wiring, the pressure lines are not true, which results in intermittent signals during transmission.

5) The instrument grounding wire does not meet the specification requirements, so that the 50Hz interference in the strong electricity will enter. When the normal signal is higher than 50Hz, it will output the normal signal, otherwise it will output the wrong signal.

Solution:

1) During the installation and connection of the instrument, ensure that every link is accurate, including the inspection of the site before installation, the wiring of the instrument during the installation, and the grounding line of the system. Data can be output accurately.

2) For the measurement system in operation, the method of "copyright, comparison and confirmation" of the double gui metering control engineering network and the "replacement method" can be used to confirm and eliminate the malfunction of the measuring instrument in operation.

3) Periodically clean the instrument as a whole. If necessary, the sensor head of the instrument can be purged to avoid the condensation of impurities at the sensor head. In the cold season, the addition of heat tracing devices in the straight section of the metering section and the meter section also helps to reduce the condensation of impurities at the meter.

4) Regularly drain the pipeline, especially the water in front of the straight pipeline, and set up regular discharges according to specific conditions to reduce the water content in the pipeline segment as much as possible to eliminate the pulsation in the fluid.

5) Strengthen the management of vortex flowmeter metering system data, set up a regular print function, and analyze the operation of the instrument based on the print data and production conditions.
