We have already seen smart chopsticks and smart forks, and MIT engineers will try to raise money through crowdfunding site Kickstarter and bring smart pans to people's lives. Known as Pantelligent's smart frying pan, it has a built-in temperature sensor that transmits data to the user's smartphone via Bluetooth. It does not have a switch or button itself, and its electronic components are hidden inside the handle. All operations are performed in their paired applications. The app comes preloaded with dozens of recipes created by Pantelligent's own chef team. When you select a recipe, the app will tell you exactly how hot the pan needs to be and how long you will need to cook each step. The app shows a real-time reading of the current cooking surface temperature. If the temperature is too low or too high it will automatically send a notification and let you know when to add meat or other ingredients. It can even connect your smart watch. The project has achieved a goal of 30,000 U.S. dollars, and there is no sign of slowing down. The real question is: Is there more kitchen gadgets invented? We may find it at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show.
