On October 19th, the Volvo Children's Safety Forum was held in Hangzhou. At the safety forum, Volvo first demonstrated its concept luxury child safety seat in China. The concept child safety seat debuted on the new XC90 honorable version, designed to be tailored to the Chinese market. According to the manufacturer, “it combines safety, care and luxury in a bold and subversive way, reshaping the unique Nordic luxury and also pointing the way for the future development of child safety seats”.

Volvo invented the world's first rear-facing child safety seat 50 years ago. The data shows that the use of rear-facing safety seats can reduce accidental child casualties by more than 90%.
