Wärtsilä was awarded an integrated system for 4 new cruise ships

Recently, Wärtsilä received a contract to supply integrated automation, navigation and dynamic positioning equipment and a complete uninterruptible power system for the four new cruise ships built at the Meyer Werft shipyard.
It is reported that two of the four new ships are being built at Meyer Werft's shipyard in Germany, and the other two will be built at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland. Wärtsilä's contract was constructed in the second quarter of 2016.
The Nacos Platinum system from Wärtsilä includes 12 multi-function tables that display ARPA radar, ECDIS control and dynamic positioning operations. In addition to the automatic steering and navigation plan, Wärtsilä's navigation equipment also includes auxiliary sensors and associated communication facilities covering the entire GMDSS A3 equipment.
It is reported that Wärtsilä Nacos Valmatic Platinum is an integrated automation system with several separate systems capable of handling power management, energy measurement, LNG plant control, HVAC, cabin control, emergency cut-off, information management, safety management control, and alarms. System, etc. The entire system can be operated and controlled on 24 work stations. The HVAC system can be controlled in 55 locations.
Each new vessel will also be equipped with the Wärtsilä Jovystar Ocean UPS system, which includes eight 100 kVA UPS, five 20 kVA UPS and two 40 kVA UPS.
