Eaton Group has announced the appointment of Ramanath Ramakrishnan as the new CTO and vice president. Effective June 1st, Ramanath Ramakrishnan will succeed Lennart Jonsson and Jonsson will leave on June 15. Ramakrishnan joined Eaton in 2005 and has just served as technical director and most recently served as Senior Vice President, Industrial Technology. Prior to joining Eaton, he spent 9 years at General Electric in the United States. Ramakrishnan holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Ohio at the United States and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Bangalore, India. Jonsson joined Eaton in 2004 and was initially Director of Engineering. In 2007, he was appointed Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Technology. In 2010, he was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.
