On the morning of October 22, Hunan Changsha Municipal Government website announced the implementation Opinions on the Promotion and Application of New Energy Vehicles in the Office of the People's Government of Changsha City, Hunan Province. The document stated that Changsha City of Hunan Province will strive to promote 1580 new energy vehicles in 2014, by 2015. We will strive to promote 4,500 new energy vehicles, including 1,100 buses.
In addition, the proportion of new energy vehicles in public transport, official service, sanitation and rental vehicles that are required to be added or updated in the document is not less than 30%. The document stipulates that new energy vehicles sold in Changsha City, Hunan Province and registered in Changsha, Hunan, shall be applied for by the new energy vehicle manufacturers that meet the relevant regulations, and shall be given corresponding financial subsidies. The subsidy standard is in accordance with the 1:1 supporting regulations of the state and the locality. The municipal finance bears 70% of the supporting amount of the local (provincial and municipal), and the total financial subsidies of the central government and the provinces and municipalities do not exceed 60% of the market price of the car purchase.
According to national policies, the current subsidy policy is implemented until December 31, 2015. After the policy expires, it will be adjusted according to the national policy.
